~~~Anyone else getting pumped for the final season of Battlestar Galactica that will be starting next Friday?!?
~~~I grabbed my 2 tickets from the Ten Club presale for the Philly Pearl Jam show! woohoo!
~~~I'm sure I'll review Saturday Night & Sunday Mornings, the new counting crows cd, sometime soon, but here's a quick 3 word preview: I love it! In the meantime here's allmusic.com's review.
No, thank you A.I.
Basketball is far from my favorite sport, but I always found Iverson simpatico when he was in town despite his ups and downs. He got a big standing O last night when Denver came to town for the first time since he left. Nice kicks A.I.
Review > Comic- Serenity: Better Days #1
Any reason to revisit the crew of Serenity is a good reason to me! Dark Horse's new 3 issue mini-series, Serenity: Better Days seems like a lost episode of Firefly, the short-lived space western created by Buffy's Joss Whedon. This, of course, is a good thing. Whedon takes time off from the 8th season of the Buffy comic to co-write this, which takes place... well I'm not sure when it takes place, but it's before the Serenity movie because the whole crew is here and fans know who didn't live through that. The characters retain their charm and sense of humor, so the transition to comics is smooth enough. The art isn't bad, but if it was all like Adam's Hughes' cover, I'd be happier.
First
Hello, this is going to be my first post and it will be brief. I am going to use this space to post videos, pictures, and music/tv/comic/movie reviews. And whatever else I feel like. Right now, scratch that brief part, I'm gonna rant a second.
I used to to love writing during the day, but now my creativity seems to have been stunted during the afternoon hours. In the office I work in, B101 plays ALL day. For those of you outside the Philadelphia area, this station plays "soft rock"and is absolutely horrible! They have the same playlist everyday!! If I have to listen to effing Rod Stewart butcher CCR's Have You Every Seen the Rain again, I'm gonna lose it. They play Elton John twice an hour. I'm listening to Extreme's More Than Words right now. This is such bad music. This is no agruement about it.
Soft rock. Isn't that an oxymoron? Don't take my word, check out their playlist, and see if you could stand hearing this for 4 hours straight. This is why I can't get anything done creatively during these hours.
Pray for me these last 2 hours on a Friday.
