Review > Comic > All Star Superman #10

This book comes out like every 3 months but it is always worth the wait. Writer Grant Morrison and artist Frank Quitely do a superb job once again. The great thing about this book is that it is outside the normal Superman continuity and anybody with a basic understanding of the characters can jump aboard and greatly enjoy it without feeling like they need to know 70 years of  history.  Superman's humanity is just as important to these stories as who he is battling.

In this issue, Superman drafts a last will and testament.  Yes,  Superman is dying. We see a lot of what Superman does on a day to day basis (short, powerful scenes like visiting a kids' cancer ward and saving a suicide jumper). The word is that the series is only going to #12.  I hope we get more than 2 more issues of All Star Superman, but if not, Morrison & Quitely have left a great legacy.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5
